Me too, I thought it was lovely!

LadyCatStark · 12/11/2020 15:28

Jesus as someone who’s DS has just gone off to high school this year and would rather hang out with his mates at the skatepark (when allowed) than with his parents, that hit me right in the feels 😭😭😭 I even just got him a new yellow hoodie that now his favourite thing ever and he’s wearing it permenantly!

wendz86 · 12/11/2020 16:23

This set me off, my eldest is only 9 but i know it's coming.

threetethree · 12/11/2020 16:28

With a 9 and an 11 year old, This had me sobbing! (I'm generally quite a sap about these things anyway, But am due my period tomorrow so am even worse!)

ToastandJamandTea · 12/11/2020 16:58

I welled up too Sad

cockroachcrumble12 · 12/11/2020 17:53

Are you talking about when the mother gives her son her car keys?

Awarethebear · 12/11/2020 17:56

It's definitely a tear jerker

alwayslearning789 · 12/11/2020 18:03

Thank God I found this....

Made me cry this morning too:)

FrancisCross · 12/11/2020 18:07

Damn! That got me right in the feels! Sad

LittleMissLockdown · 12/11/2020 18:09

@cockroachcrumble12

Are you talking about when the mother gives her son her car keys?
Nope we mean the new Christmas ad.

I welled up too, it's so simply done and yet so effective.

cockroachcrumble12 · 12/11/2020 18:13

Thanks @LittleMissLockdown No have not seen it yet.

Judashascomeintosomemoney · 12/11/2020 18:34

Oh God, as someone with less than two years before I’ve an empty nest, this sounds like I need to avoid this ad at all costs......

LaurieFairyCake · 12/11/2020 18:38

I really love that they're showing the inner child (which is in all of us) and what happens when we tap into it - nurture, contentment, warmth, peace - and a whole lot more

UndertheCedartree · 12/11/2020 18:49

I just watched it! The bit where the mum was cuddling her son on the sofa set me off! I remember when my DS (13) was 10 he fell asleep cuddling me on the sofa. I took a photo as I didn't know if it would happen again...it never has. But I have such a lovely memory of it.

SingingSands · 12/11/2020 18:51

That took my breath away, the kid looks uncannily like my son!!
And I can totally relate to him on his Xbox, hoody up, the AirPods jammed into his ears... oh my, I really welled up at that!!

Bokky · 12/11/2020 18:55

I watched it and cried. DD has just started high school, only come out of believing in the last couple of years so I can see this coming. Already dreading the day!

Oxyiz · 12/11/2020 18:59

Christ, its bloody Inside Out all over again.

Mustbethewine · 12/11/2020 19:16

My son is 9 and his life revolves around his friends, ps4 and his favourite YouTuber. This had me weeping, really hit me in the feels

TicTacTwo · 12/11/2020 19:55

This was too realistic for me 😭

LJC1234 · 12/11/2020 20:23

Oh goodness this is a wonderful advert!

I recommend the Disney one to proper tear jerker

threetethree · 12/11/2020 20:26

Have you shown it to your dc? Mine just wanted a McDonald's after watching it Hmm

OP posts:
cravingthelook · 12/11/2020 20:35

I wish I hadn't looked it up.... 😢

MovinOnUp · 12/11/2020 22:36

Showed it to my two when they came home from school.
''We would never do that to you Mummy''
Which set me off again of course.
