I have an unexpected few days off due to test and trace putting me on isolation 😫

So I’m blitzing the house ready to receive crap at christmas 🙈

Whilst the kids are in school I’m tackling their rooms 1st. 7yr old’s is done.. lots of random bits of toys and plastic jewellery all over the place! (When they were born I was determined to be the mother earth parent with high grade —expensive— wooden toys from Scandi shops 🙄)

It’s so much easier without them here... the youngest is a hoarder!

How are you getting on?

I've got to say I'm struggling this year. Normally around this time I would tackle one room at a time and do a clear out and top to toe clean. But I did a huge clear out last lockdown and both kids have had their rooms redecorated so we had another blitz then. Strangely, without a big list of jobs in not feeling very motivated

I'm lucky, we moved this year and I was pretty ruthless about what we actually brought with us!

I just cleared out a massive cupboard so I have room to store Christmas presents. Seems to be not that much more room even though i threw loads out.

I cleared out most of DD8s tat during first lockdown as I was switching from plastic drawers to a nice cube unit. I have tons of vintage Barbies that my mam saved from when I was a kid that she's outgrown now but I have no motivation at all to go through them all and take photos to put them up for sale 😕
