Ideas on presents I can buy direct in Australia

Anyone buy gifts for people in Oz? Last year I got my friends a nice little pamper box online here which I posted over.

But I was wondering if there would be something similar I could buy in Oz to send direct. Or anyone have any other ideas of things you can buy in Oz from the U.K.?

Can’t be perishable as she works in the out back and I will probably not be able to send anything in time for her next home leave. So likely will be collected in January.

Thanks!

My favourite Australian shop is Gewurzhaus, it's a spice/salt/sugar merchant though, not pamper stuff. It does really fantastic ingredients and the packaging is beautiful. I wouldn't consider the stuff perishable given what it is.

Lush has stores in Australia, so you might be able to go online and just order from there.

I can't immediately think of anywhere for pamper stuff other than Lush, I assume you're thinking bath/body stuff? There will be plenty of Australian brands though, Google ought to throw some up. But I'd be cautious on actual bath stuff given it's going to be summer. Shower stuff might be better.

Have a look at David Jones or Myer. See if you can send from there. You used to be able to. David Jones is like John Lewis. Myer is Debenhams/Marks and Spencer.

Oo great thanks for the tips. I’ve had a google before for bath/body stuff companies and you can’t pay from overseas. She’s also really into food so I will definitely check out Gewurzhaus. Thanks again, I really appreciate it!

Hi there. I live in Oz but buy stuff in New Zealand quite a lot. I’ve found if you ring to place an order they will let you pay by credit card over the phone even if you can’t order on line from another country.

So maybe try that.

Thanks @Rainbowqueeen that’s a good shout. I’ve done that before with a scuba dive voucher. Don’t know why I didn’t think of that as an option!

Beauty - mecca cosmetica
Books - booktopia
Jewellery - lucy folk will deliver (you just ring them)

Departments stores - both myer and david Jones deliver

Lots really! Depends on your budget - what sort of thing are you looking for?

There's a great Facebook page called buy from the bush and it has really beautiful items that are made by independent businesses within Australia. It was set up to support the small businesses following the bushfires at the end of last year.
Definitely worth a look if you're trying to find something quality and more unique (it's 100% NOT tat!)
