Escape room board game for kids

Does anyone have any recommendations for an escape room type board game for kids ? My son will be 8 but he’s come along to a couple real life escape rooms and he loves them. He’s asked for a board game for his birthday or Christmas.

Not a board game but Escape Hunt have branded out since lockdown to do Escape at Home games. I've only done the physical rooms myself but I think you print the activities out xxx

There's one called trapped but I haven't done it personally. Age 8 upwards

There is one shown as a competition prize on the mums net competitions. Can't recommend, as I don't have it. But maybe worth a look?

I love exit games by komos. We've played them all. Stick to the 2 circle ones and should be OK for an 8 year old with parental help

We’ve enjoyed the Exit games so bought this Detectives one recently. It’s good and there’s an online element which kept my younger one interested.

Bought for 12yo but 8yo was involved as there are several different options at each step of the case. Zero replay value but expansions are available.

@MumInTheMidlands2020 thanks - he does love a treasure hunt but he has asked for board games. I went with the exit games one.

I’ve been looking at the jumanji one. My DS is 8. Reviews seem good though it’s a one time game.
