I am so stuck what to get my mom and dad for Christmas this year! Normally I get my mom an afternoon tea and we really enjoy going together and last year I got my dad a record player which he really loved!
However both parents are shielding (not officially but don’t like to go out too much) so I can’t get them any experience type gifts!
Has anyone got any ideas please £100 jointly and my parents are 65. Thankyou!

Some kind of subscription that sends them something monthly - flowers, coffee, chocolate, music, posh pasta, magazines... ?

Empty photo albums. Ask them to put in fav photos with some captions. If they are anything like my folks they'll have loads of photos!

What are their interests?

Subscription sounds good! My dad loves football and speedway and my mom, bless her, is so grateful for anything she gets!

Could you get an afternoon tea delivered to them between Christmas and New Year in addition to a subscription?

Records or good headphones for Dad.
A China tea set for Mum. You could make a posh afternoon tea at home for family/friends when Covid allows.

I’m also struggling with my parents this year for the same reason. I normally get them an experience we can do together, like theatre tickets. They are early 70s and are a nightmare to buy for!

The ideas I have for them so far are:
A magazine subscription for my Dad for a specialist motorsport magazine he likes.
A wildlife camera for the garden. Probably this one, and also get an SD card plus rechargeable batteries www.amazon.co.uk/Victure-Wildlife-Activated-Infrared-Waterproof-Camouflage/dp/B07H7D83PZ?tag=mumsnetforu03-21
And maybe M&S or Uniqlo thermal tops and/or a down gilet for my Mum.

I live in London so I always get them really nice chocolates or treats from Fortnum and Mason too.

You can get wonderful football quarterly journals if he enjoys reading about the history of the sport and opinion pieces. You could also buy him some records?
