What are you getting your 11/12 year old?

Looking for some inspiration for DS who has reached what I find a bit of a tricky age as he’s not quite a teen and not a child. Last year he got a Lego technics which he liked and built but not really that into. So we have left Lego behind (sob)

To make matters worse he has a birthday really close to Christmas, but for that he’s getting a laptop. So go on, give me your ideas!

He has an x box and we are not updating that quite yet. He likes footy, plays guitar, likes running, was thinking of getting him a half decent fitness tracker- one that looks like a watch? He is a voracious reader but loves actual books so bot interested in a kindle.

Can I ask about the chemistry subscription kit? Where is this from? Thanks

Chemistry subscription kit is from MEL science and includes online lessons, good so far - we bought for birthday and did them throughout lockdown.

100% second the robot arm suggestion, we got one for DS2 a couple of years ago and he still says it was the best present he's ever had! He was 9 then and he needed some help so probably ideal for 11. This is the one we got

DS is 11 now, this year he has a Nasa hoodie, model V8 engine kit, and Mario piranha plant lamp so far. Also struggling a bit!

I’m finding it difficult to buy for DS (11) this year too. He has literally everything!

He wants a mini fridge for his spare room and some drinks etc to go in it.
I’ve also got him some decorations, cushion covers etc for that room and DH has mentioned getting him a new desk and a TV but I don’t really see the point as he has one in his bedroom.
I’ve also got him some Japanese sweets and drinks, a table tennis set, teddy bear material bedding, Simpsons vans, a Superdry hoodie, a new bike helmet and I want to get him the Lego Central Park.
