Christmas for 2 - want to make it special!

My partner and I will be spending Christmas just the two of us this year due to COVID (possible restrictions but also we are front line NHS workers working with COVID patients every day and don't want to pose a risk to vulnerable family members). We want to make it special, especially the food!

We will have some variation of roast dinner with all the trimmings on the day. We will get some nice ciders, gin etc in too. Probably a cheese board for the evening. I'm struggling to think of ideas for dessert, and other things we can do to make the day special when it's just the 2 of us.

Any suggestions for must-have extras are welcome! (ie food/drink that isn't obvious but that you really enjoy on Christmas Day). Or any other ideas on how to make the most of a 2 person Christmas?

TIA Smile

Two of us here for Christmas. I will be ordering www.breakfastenbread.com/ for brunch, along with a bottle of champagne.
I have ordered a seafood platter for Xmas eve,to have with crusty bread.
Christmas Dinner will be prepped in advance, so can be popped in the oven. I'm aiming for a relaxed day. Will be spending a bit more on food, will go for a walk, board games and a long lie in!

Are you in a Booths area? If so, get the book and get ordering Grin

Thanks so much for the ideas - love the idea of cocktails for breakfast and also a seafood platter! Mmm

And thank you for pointing me towards the other thread - lots of good things to think about!
