hennaoj · 06/11/2020 19:47

What on earth do I put in a stocking for a 12 year old? He only likes roblox and how to train your dragon.

OP posts:
Chimchar · 06/11/2020 19:54

Lynx Africa. It's the law! Wink

New toothbrush?

Chocolate, sweets. Astronauts ice cream.

have a look at a shop called Forbidden Planet...they'll have loads of bits and pieces around roblox I'm sure. Like little figure collectibles and stuff.

Build a bear factory had a 'toothless' dragon ages ago. It may be a bit young though.

Sunshineandflipflops · 06/11/2020 19:59

My ds is 12 (will be 13 by Xmas though) and I put things like chocolate, sweets, pants, socks, toothbrush, body spray, a new book, pens for school (could do water bottle/pencil case also), novelty mug, selection box...

Ohdoleavemealone · 06/11/2020 20:02

I have bought Rubix cubes 4 x 4 and 5 x 5 for mine.

He just looks appalled when I suggest deodorant. It doesn't seem to be desperately needed yet, fortunately. Does it have to be Lynx?

mamawithfive · 07/11/2020 21:40

Power bank
Guitar picks
Bright coloured charging cable
Boxers
Shower gel and deodorant
Gamer socks
Hot chocolate spoons (those sticks with a lump of chocolate on them)
Marshmallow toppers for hot chocolate
Face wash

dolphinpose · 07/11/2020 22:29

Please don't get him Lynx - not even as a joke - it is a really bad trigger for asthma sufferers. I have to move carriage on the train when teens get on after footie training and spray their underarms. Instead get Hollister - there's a set of 3 here for £6.
Those gloves with light up fingertips. Or touchscreen gloves.
Mini maglite torch
Penknife
Toblerone
Poster for his room or map of the world
Bath bomb/bath stuff

BefuddledPerson · 08/11/2020 06:02

In stockings for this age we put things like:
Joke or puzzle books
DVDs (HMV have some cheap HTTYD spin offs)
Stationery - pens/highlighters/felt tips/post its
Card/small games
Multi-sided dice
Sweets
Jar of favourite jam/chutney
Craft stuff (like nice paper, decent scissors)
Seeds for garden
Toiletries
Socks/pants/scarves/hats/gloves

No Lynx ever requested in this house thank goodness, it stinks! So definitely not law.

BefuddledPerson · 08/11/2020 06:04

Oh forgot modelling wax. That is great for making animations if they like that sort of thing.

BikeRunSki · 08/11/2020 06:11

Pringles
Chocolate orange
Paperback book
Non-grey Socks
Fossil
American candy
Shower gel (he thinks Original Source is the height of sophistication).
Some kind of archery stuff if he needs it
Bic 4 colour biro
Torch
Baseball cap
Marmite cashews

herecomesthsun · 08/11/2020 18:44

We can't do non-grey socks. One would immediately get lost. We have to have 3 dozen pairs of exactly the same sort of grey sock, nothing else works, sadly.

LadyCatStark · 08/11/2020 18:59
