Difficult to buy for...

Hi everyone! I need your collective inspiration!

My mum is so hard to buy for. She doesn't work, doesn't socialise unless it's with family and doesn't have any hobbies.

Jewellery - can only wear 9ct gold due to metal allergies

Scents - scented things give her bad headaches which rules out candles, perfume, lush stuff.

Beauty - she prefers to stick to her usual brands and doesn't use things we have bought her in the past or ends up giving them out to us to use instead

In the past we booked a weekend away, tickets to a concert, tickets to the theatre and we have all gone together, taken her for a meal etc and made a day of it. She enjoys this and it has always gone down well. Obviously because of the virus this isn't possible and I'm finding it so hard to think of things. We don't know how long this will go on for so I don't want to do an 'I owe you'.

What do you all buy for your fussy/difficult to buy for mums?

Slippers? Dressing gown / pyjamas? Clothing voucher? Does she read...kindle? Have any ailments like back ache / arthritis (I’m thinking an ergonomic pillow or heated back massager). Does she like cooking or baking - kitchen appliance or recipe book?

I always go for nice useable things, so lovely food, drink, products, plants. Or something homemade.

garden? plants, eg roses with her name or GC names? (winter is good time to plant)

Could get 9ct gold gemstome stud earrings fairly cheap?

Little luxuries? Cashmere jumper, zip hoodie, blanket, scarf, gloves. Silk pillowcases, PJs. Sheepskin slippers?

Books/audio books? Book on walks local to her? New coat?

Afternoon tea by post - could do via Zoom?
