My kids asked why I don't receive a gift from Santa every year - they then concluded I'm never a good girl. Envy

This year I've decided that I have been a very good girl, so I'm preparing a box of random goodies which I will receive from Santa. Most items aren't fancy but more small items that will bring me joy. Please share your self-gift ideas!

So far I have:
New cosy flannel PJs
Cosy sleep socks
Sleep socks, AirPods case, card case and letter set
Fave chocolate
Shoulder massage machine! (Much needed after constant computer working)
Skincare

I will hopefully gift myself a cape/pair of chelsea boots/wool fedora* in the January sales.

*Don’t know which of these yet; I will have to choose as I definitely haven’t been good enough to get all three! Xmas Wink

Do you not get gifts from others?

I see on here this is quite common from mams who dont have a great support network and their children worrying the didnt get anything, it sad but sweet but I wouldnt want her to mistakingly think it was to do with negative things like being 'naughty'

I get gifts from DH and my mam so always have stuff to open so its never come up but santa only brings gifts to children here. That might be something you can teach her (then she wont think all adults are naughty lol) but if you arent being spoilt by others then totally get yourself some thing to unwrap.

I usually do my own stocking because no one else ever thinks to, I just pick up random bits to put in it, usually an item of jewelery and then just bits and bobs I find as I go round shops + all the sweets that normally come in a stocking.

I do myself a stocking and a couple gifts under the tree, have done this for a few years as kids wondered why I didn’t get anything, they are now teens and don’t really care but I still do it 🤣, I’m a single parent and I don’t get many gifts from others, plus I’m fussy and don’t like the things people do buy me (my mum buys me socks and smellies that I can not use).

So far I have bought (for my stocking)..

Glasses case from paper chase
Diary
Lush body conditioner
Sweets
Earrings

I usually buy myself a larger item, sometimes a Lego set or a new pair of DM’s.

Hair turban for camping (towelling thing for after the shower)
Snoopy necklace
Fountain pen
Charger cable

Going to buy a set of ten animal bites cable protectors (so the cable doesn't bend when it's in your phone and you're sitting in bed MNing), and we can have 3 each.

DH has bought me a gift, and vice versa, but i fill the stockings, I pass Tiger more frequently!

On my list is: El Camino bracelet
Suffragette scarf
Clug for my bike
Grid It
Framed map of where I grew up (from Chelssea Chelsea)
Chocolate covered nuts and raisens
Cuddly toy... Cheque book and pen... Grin showing my age!
