Escape room game for home

I'd like to buy an escape room game for us to play at home at Christmas- either online or an actual game.

There are so many to choose from, so I would love to hear about ones that other people have tried- both good and not so good.

There will be three of us playing- two adults and 14 year old DS.

Dh and I have 2 games by Exit the room - both great. The difficulty ratings are pretty accurate - the 3 stars felt about right for us, the one which was 3.5 felt 'hard work' and not as enjoyable, although we did do them in the early days of lockdown with a newborn so we're very sleep deprived, we might do better now!! We have done a few real escape rooms and usually come out between 45 and 50 mins, so we're reasonably okay at them.

@Findahouse21 thank you! Could it be 'exit the game' that is the brand that you have? I can't find 'exit the room'?

Thanks again

The Plymouth Point online escape rooms are the best ones I've tried, immersive and lots of fun

"Unlock!" Highly recommended (we have done them all except for the new Star Wars set (and I've just seen there is a new one coming out before Christmas!) Perhaps not the first set - Island of Dr Goorse was a bit frustrating, but we really enjoyed all the others. Uses a pack of cards and an app, very clever puzzles and great fun. Also (unlike "Exit the game" you don't destroy any components so you can pass the set on to somebody else when you have done it.)

The other ones we have tried are a couple of the DeckScape series - these were ok but not as immersive.

Yes, sorry, it was exit the game. Was typing before coffee always a bad idea!!

I’ve bought a couple of Exit games - one for DS1 and his partner (Abandoned Cabin) and one for me, DH & DS2 (Cemetery of the Knight) for Christmas.
I think I paid about £12/£13 each from Amazon. I can’t wait to play.
