“Best versions” of things for DH

Howmanysleepsnow · 03/11/2020 22:54

DH appreciates quality. Can anyone suggest high quality versions of everyday things please?
He owns his own business, dresses casually, enjoys the outdoors, is a foodie but currently dieting, into exercise (see previous).
Other ideas welcome too!

My husband likes this website for outdoorsy stuff and gadgets
bearandbear.com/shop/

I’ve recently discovered this site which has slightly cooler outdoorsy clothes.

www.outsidersstore.com/

He like Rogue for workout kit plus Lululemon.

Shoes- Grenson is a better priced version of Cheaney.

Is that any good? None of this is “label”.

Emma Bridgewater or Denby for nice crockery
Cross for fancy ballpoint or rollerball pens
La Chameau for wellie boots
Molton Brown
Moleskine notebook/diary
Swell drinks bottle or food flask
Neal’s Yard Arnica Salve muscle balm

sous chef has loads of good foodie stuff.

I got DP an ice cube tray thing for making those big lumps for cocktails.

A Japanese knife with all the layers of metal?

sous vide

Tini17 · 04/11/2020 05:02

I was going to say sous vide for foodie type things.
Something from Moleskine?

Ps did you post this thread 5x? May be worth asking MN to take the other four down.

This site does really nice outdoor clothing: bambooclothing.co.uk/

NoWordForFluffy · 04/11/2020 06:17

@Tini17, MN was really glitchy last night!

Here’s a good list from a blog I follow...

A pizza oven? I bought DH an Ooni last year and its been great throughout lockdown and restrictions.

Makes amazing pizzas and he can get all invested in sour dough bases and interesting foodie toppings. (Unlike us who use premixed dough bags and rarely venture from pepperoni. Still makes awesome pizza!)
