if anyone?

i normally send my parents, grandparents, sister and dp, cousins, aunts and uncles and ds a card. this may not seem a lot but i have 12 aunts and uncles plus all their children and then their children.

was thinking of not sending any this year but then i felt mean. i should still get parents, grandparents, ds and sister and dp one shouldn't i?

cod never sends cards! and nor do some other posters.

I just buy cheap ones in the January sales but don't have a big family so it's not too big a hassle.

did you know there was a worcester meet up being planned? I know it's difficult for you as it's in the evening, but you are welcome to join us.

i had seen the thread. its just a bit difficult for me to get there cos i'm not that local and don't drive (or even know where it is in order to get a lift from someone)

I have a list of around 50 friends and family.
I know all the arguments against them but I like to receive cards so I send them. I keep a note of people who send them to us - if I don't get one for 2 years running I cross you off my list.

I never do.

nappyaddict · 16/10/2007 11:21

don't your dc mind that they don't get a card off you?

They don't miss what they've never had, nappyaddict.
It's not very env. friendly to send cards, so we only send cards to people we don't regularly see; so not to anybody we see at least once a month.

We send to close family/extended family/friends/dd's school friends/dh's work colleagues, so probably about 100+ , it costs a small fortune, but that is just the way we do it.

FAMILY that we don't see that often (especially elderly that do seem to appreciate it)

SEE A COUPLE OF TIMES A YEAR FRIENDS (with a note we must meet up blah blah blah)

DC'S CLASSMATES (much as I hate it they love it and its the inevitable I've got more than you squabble)

NEXT DOOR NEIGHBOURS (so we're not seen as grumpy)

DH'S WORK COLLEAGUES (we're friendly with the families so its more to them rather than the people he works with)

All in about 100 (and close friends and family don't get them as we see them all the time)

Not looking forward to writing them all !
