Ideas for teenage girls

Piccalino3 · 03/11/2020 10:01

I have two teen girls still to buy for, they are 13 and 15 and have had a rough year with losing their Mum. I'd like to get a nice thoughtful present, roughly £30 each, but could stretch to more. Going to get some chocolate, a big slab of something nice as that seems to always go down well with teens but any ideas of what else. I have little ones so no idea what to get teens. Last year I got them some bags from Urban Outfitters or somewhere (can't remember exactly) as people recommended it was what their teens wanted. Thanks in advance!

I have a 16 year old and a 12 year old so similar...mine love nice bags, they also one year loved a mug set I got them with hot chocolate sachet, little tiny whisk, marshmallows and a voucher for Starbucks. Pick a nice mug maybe and fill it yourself.

Actually I got an awesome Costa cup for Christmas today and they had some chocolates which had a £5 Costa voucher inside so perhaps I could do something like that.

Yep dd and her friends love going to Starbucks/Costa so a nice mug and a voucher would be very much welcomed.

IcedLimes · 03/11/2020 11:06

My teenage dds like Lush

Imtoooldforallthis · 03/11/2020 11:19

That sounds perfect OP...Costa mug, chocolates and a voucher. Lovely.

My daughter loves stationery. It used to be Paperchase but she graduated to Moleskine planners.

RickOShay · 04/11/2020 06:44

Superdrug have got some good deals on fragrance at the moment. I just go by how nice the bottle is Grin, as dd displays the bottles!
Pastel highlighters are popular.
I always get a plain pretty notebook to use as a diary. What about friendship bracelets?
I’m so sorry to hear about the girls’ mum, and I wish you all a happy Christmas.Flowers

I've bought dd and dn this

nakedmarshmallow.co.uk/products/festive-toasting-gift-set

Can be used inside and out, looks fun and quirky and have given them extra marshmallows with it.

Look at the fake oodies as teens seem to like lounging in comfort!

An echo dot

My DD’s are similar ages, they love hotel chocolate and lush (snow fairy or bath jelly, oh and lip scrub), anything fluffy, blanket, dressing gown, fluffy socks etc..

caperplips · 04/11/2020 13:57

@Imtoooldforallthis do you have the 20% discount code for the velevtizer please? I know my daughter would LOVE this!
Thanks

Imtoooldforallthis · 04/11/2020 14:00

It's on the website but here's the code anyway

VEL20NOV

caperplips · 04/11/2020 14:00

@Imtoooldforallthis Thank you!!

Piccalino3 · 04/11/2020 16:03

Thanks everyone! I don't know if they like hot chocolate that much to get a velvetizer, I actually have one that doesn't get much use.

Urgh, baby pressed post!
@jocktamsonsbairn, that's actually a great idea. I've bought the toasting kit from the Naked Marshmallow before and it was really good so will go and have a look to see what their offering this year. Good to know Costa will go down well too. Great other ideas too. Thanks everyone

Cinema vouchers and bag of popcorn?

Top shop pjs

Book plus Choc and voucher? So something to do?

Ihaveyourback · 04/11/2020 16:13

Bubble tea - my girls love it!!

Something like this: www.notonthehighstreet.com/sandyleaffarm/product/bubble-tea-making-kit?DGMKT=FID__TID_pla-371864192604_PID_601184_CRI_371864192604&gclid=CjwKCAiAv4n9BRA9EiwA30WND7WmamespNmwyxCXQ5AcK69XxTsDlbH4DO8HXXYNnVilxJyqvL5VFxoCIugQAvD_BwE

Also they like cool finger less gloves for winter, pop corn makers, candy floss maker and fun stuff to do with baking and cooking. Pasta kit was good fun too.

I personally always think vouchers are a bit dull and thoughtless.

Newgirls · 04/11/2020 16:18

Not to teens! They like spending and choosing (well mine do)

SingingSands · 04/11/2020 16:57

My teens love a gift voucher!

treeeeemendous · 04/11/2020 17:48

My teens love a gift voucher too. It's very difficult to buy stuff teens love unless you know them very well as they all have such specific interests and likes.

FortunesFave · 04/11/2020 20:49

Ihaveyourback that's great..my girls love bubble tea too! Thanks for sharing that.

Ginogineli · 04/11/2020 21:51

My dds we 15& 13 and wouldn’t thank you for chocolate as we can get that in Tesco on weekly shop and posh chocolate teens don’t care for!

I’d go for

Fluffy socks
Fluffy blanket
Phone touch screen gloves
Bath bombs
Shines clear lip gloss
Hair and face masks
Diff types of bobbles
Yes to costa or star bucks voucher
