Struggling to think of things this year. She also has a birthday in January. Doesn't really have any hobbies - just hangs out with friends (when able!). Likes make up. She has the usual tech (phone & laptop). I'm really stumped this year. What are you getting your teen girls? Can you give me some ideas please?

DD is 13 as well, so far she's getting
Copic skin tone markers
Women In Art book
Animal Crossing metal bottle
Floating bath light
Highland cow handwarmer

WisestIsShe · 01/11/2020 12:55

Her main present is a laptop, then
a fake oodie,
couple of board games (we all love them)
Korean face masks from the bargain thread
Electric toothbrush
Make up caddy thing
Minecraft Lego little set
Candy kittens
Vodaphone popcorn offer
Hot chocolate stirrers
Bit of stationery

WisestIsShe · 01/11/2020 12:56

Does she have an Alexa? It's definitely one of the most used things in our house, great if she likes music.

Fivemoreminutes1 · 01/11/2020 14:35

Ideas:
Hotel Chocolat velvetiser
Nail varnish
Converses
Fairy lights
HP sprocket
Instax camera
Headphones
Warmie

reluctantbrit · 01/11/2020 16:15

So far I blight an oodie.

She will also get decent headphones.

After that I am stuck. She has make up, it may need new brushes.

Usual gifts are also books and a wall calendar. I may make her a collage photo with all the riding school horses she rode over the years.

reluctantbrit · 01/11/2020 16:15

Oh, one thing that was a big hit last year was s photo blanket and a baking subscription.

OrtamLeevz · 01/11/2020 16:18

Sequin art always seems to go down well - some of them are aimed at older ones. Or those scrape foil pictures. My dd1 is an adult and still likes them.

WisestIsShe · 01/11/2020 19:49

Oh, DD got a sprocket printer last year and loves it. It's more versatile than the Instax camera because your can choose which photos to print from smart phone. The paper is expensive but we have it as an occasional treat and that's kept the novelty value going.

Notrobusta · 02/11/2020 07:19

For those that got oodies, are they worth paying the extra for over the cheaper versions available on Amazon?

Whatliesbeneath707 · 02/11/2020 15:15

Fabulous ideas folks and lots I hadn’t thought of.

tassisssss · 02/11/2020 21:55

My 12 yo dd bought herself a plug in wax melt burner that is just lovely.

Both dds (Ok and me) have oodies which we adore (just the amazon ones)
AirPods
LED bedroom lights

YouCantBeSirius · 02/11/2020 23:52

My almost teen has asked for Posca pens. Bloody expensive but they'll be well used. I've also got her some Vans, a switch with a couple of games to share with her sister, hair straighteners, some new clothes and a couple of diamond painting kits

StrangeAddiction · 03/11/2020 00:20

My dd has a list as long as her arm and includes (but not limited to Hmm...

Ted Baker icon bag (large)
Vivienne Westwood shoes
Pandora/nomination charms
Jewellery
Florence skin care/make up (Millie Bobby brown)
Clothes
Stranger things/umbrella Academy merch
Make up

The list goes on...and on...

Piratetree · 04/11/2020 14:26

From us my 14 year old is getting a bubble tea set, some earrings and some books. Fake oodie from Father Christmas. She wants money from everyone else 🤷🏻‍♀️

kissmelittleass · 04/11/2020 14:52

@WisestIsShe where did you buy the fake oodie from?

Gazelda · 04/11/2020 15:07

Mine's getting books, books and more books (she'll be thrilled!).
Plus nail polish, choc coins, fluffy socks etc for stocking.
And I'm hoping the HP Sprocket pops up in a Black Friday sale.

Applejack87 · 04/11/2020 15:27

Hi May I ask where I can buy a bubble tea set

Piratetree · 04/11/2020 16:37

@Applejack87 there are various ones online but I got ours from the bubble panda. Looks good but obviously not tasted yet!

Mokusspokus · 04/11/2020 16:41

My 12 year old enjoyed her sprocket last year.. This year, new electric, tooth brush, heated blanket, sensory light thing, either headphones or and instax camera, clothes voucher and a 🆕 dress.

Mokusspokus · 04/11/2020 16:42

Oh and probably rubbish impulse buy, oil thing that heats oil in it?!

Orange oil, chamomile etc...

I guess my theme is for them to be super cosy and comfortable in their rooms.

Takethewinefromtheswine · 04/11/2020 16:48

I am an MN sheep as have also got a sprocket and an Oodie for mine. She is also getting a couple of tshirts, some pjs, earrings, a pop socket and am umming and aahing about new boots.

WisestIsShe · 04/11/2020 17:51

@kissmelittleass I got it from Amazon. It was recommended on the bargain thread. It's called a sienna hoodie blanket, I am happy with the quality. Think it went down to about £15.

Re bubble tea though. I got the bubble Panda Halloween box. It looked fun, lovely packaging, lots of little pots etc and novel but I wouldn't buy it again. £14 for four cups of bubble tea, none of which we'd drink again. Tbf at least one of them is still in the box!

tootyfruitypickle · 04/11/2020 21:47

This thread is great. Oodies currently on sale at £59 so I’ve followed the flock and got one for dd who refuses to get dressed if we’re not going out so I figure it’s a good present. And I can steal it when she’s at school when I’m wfh and freezing .
