Tesco Christmas Delivery Slots

Wonder why they've gone for 7am instead of midnight?

Don't know but they're late. Asda are open now...and did the usual midnight

7am is much better for most people. Now having to stay up late!

7am suits me better, I'm up before then. Previously I ended up sitting up & then knackered the next day.

Midnight would have been way better for me but I'll just set an alarm and suck it up, it's only one day!

I doubt they'll have trouble shifting them, even though they're later than Asda.

Sainsbury's is even later (4 weeks' prior).

I use Sainsbury's, but also booked a Waitrose slot as back up, which I'll cancel when I have the Sainsbury's one (or not, if I fail!).

I booked my Waitrose one a couple of weeks ago. Why do other supermarkets have to make such a game of it?

I have it saved in my calendar ready to book!

Just noticed the 13th is a Friday. Considering the website crashed last year, that's a brave choice

@AintOverUntilTheCatLadySings it might be just delivery pass customers for a while before they're released for everyone maybe.

Thank you! I wanted to sign up to Asda delivery pass but they're not letting anyone now.

It's a bit frustrating because I'm having a planned c section start of jan and DH and I have been told that we need to self isolate for x2weeks before (I know … literally no one else seems to have to do this) which means over Christmas. I've also been advised to start shielding from about now because of a heart condition. So Christmas shopping could be a ballache. It's also my dd's birthday at Christmas.

Only supermarket who have kindly put us on their priority slot list is Waitrose, which I'm extremely grateful for.

Also really grateful for this thread and the heads up on Tesco - have signed up for delivery pass.

I'm not too worried though because if worst comes to worst we'll have steak and oven chips and it'll be amazing!

I wonder what slots will be opened on 13th November. They normally open one day at a time, but will they open all the ones up to Christmas Eve in one go? Can’t remember what they did last year.

They usually open a day at a time - I think Fri 13th November will make Fri 18th December available.

Tbh I'm surprised that there's been no reminder yet

If you ring Tesco they will add you to their priority list for slots

Still get a delivery pass though as that lets you book a week ahead.

the priority ones are an all day long slot but you get an hours time slot on the day
