My friend's elderly neighbour

She's in her 70s, no family around, and this year decided to stop cancer treatment.

She's fairly well, but when I met her a few weeks ago she mentioned she was feeling cold a lot.

I'd like to get her a little gift, partly because she doesn't have many people around and partly because she's helped keep my friend sane through lockdown – and I want her to know I was paying attention when we spoke (I had the dog with me and was juggling a few things at the same time).

What would be a lovely snuggly gift?

Was thinking of cosy slipper socks, but she might have trouble getting them on and off....

How lovely. A nice blanket?

Turtle gloves fingerless gloves, keep your wrists warm but fingers free. I suffer from reynaurds and have had cancer treatment and I love these. Maybe some yummy biscuits as well?!

Then how about some snuggly thermal socks? I always find if my feet are cold I’m cold to the bone. These really hold the heat and she will be able to manage sock.

@Jamhandprints I was eyeing some nice fluffy blankets the other day but then remembered my friend saying she tends to keep fairly busy, albeit always at home – up and down and doing things around the house all day – soI think something wearable will probably be best.

@ranoutofquinoaandprosecco turtle gloves look lovely – are they better than other types of fingerless gloves?

@Panicsettingin those do look cosy. Maybe something like those with the sticky bits on the bottom so no risk of slipping (her house is all tiled floors downstairs)

I love my microwave heatable slippers, you can them in Amazon but probably other places too

Have you tried Muk Luks on www.qvcuk.com? They do lined slippers that also have grippy bottoms.
