A half bed tent that a child can sit under. IKEA Sufflett??

I’m looking for something specific!

I’d like a bed tent to cover half the bed, but I’d like it to be tall enough that a child can actually sit under and play.

So the IKEA sufflett looks lovely but I can’t establish if high enough that an child (8yrs) could sit under and okay with her toys, read etc. Or whether best just for lying under and sleeping.

Looking at photos online it doesn’t look big enough to sit and play under. I think it’s designed for toddlers more than an older child.

These are more expensive but could work?

That’s a brilliant suggestion!! Just a shame covers entire bed

My 7yo has that tent. If it hasn't changed in design in the last few years (ours is 3years old) it should be fine for reading under... But maybe for only another couple of years. I can measure the height for you if you want.

From bottom of mattress to top of tent is about 85cm at the front. DD can sit under crossed legged with a couple of cm clearance (as can our 60cm tall emperor penguin). She's about 130cm tall.

So I think it will depend on your mattress thickness. (Ours is on bunk beds, which are slightly thinner)
