Ideas for an 8yo girl

DD has her 8th birthday at the end of November, so I tend to do birthday and Christmas shopping in one go. There's a few toys she wants which I am still working out - will do one for birthday and one for christmas, and then I just need to get a few extra little bits for each. However, I have no idea what. She usually gets plenty of craft-type stuff, stationary, sweets and clothes from other members of the family, so I always struggle to find her something different, but I am always conscious of her being overloaded with the same kind of stuff, and overloaded in general. All ideas welcome!

My DD is getting into crochet and making friendship bracelets, so she’s asked for thread and crochet hooks. Also asked for the password safe from smyths, a cooler bottle, lush stuff, penny board, and bee earrings.

@FoxInABox How old is yours? My dd also circled that password safe in the Smyths catalogue but I can't see it getting used much. I hadn't thought of earrings. Good idea. Any recommendations for good places to get kids earrings?

My daughter 7
Has insisted she wants a safe and a Fitbit 🤣🤷‍♀️

Seems like these safes are in right now. What are they planning to put in these safes though?!

My oldest DD is 7 and wants a 3d pen, glue gun, video camera and slime. She would also love a phone...but she won't be getting one!

Last year we bought our 8yr old a pogo stick. It was a big hit!

DT's are 8 (both girls) and they have requested Polly Pockets (they have smaller versions and play with them a lot so we have bought some bigger ones). A baby yoda toy, pokemon plush, craft kits (I've bought some needle felting kits as thought it was something different to the usual bracelet making kits they have done loads). Also on the list are lots of books, HP lego, a build your own robot kit, fuzzikins (little fuzzy figures you can colour in, they are cheap enough and look quite sweet) and also Ukuleles as they are learning at school and want their own ones in fancy colours.

My dd is same as yours with a birthday at end of November, she'll be 9.
For her birthday she has asked for the 5 surprise mini mart and some of the balls that go with it. So she has them, an lol, a ukulele and some cow print clothes (cow obsessed!)
I've no idea what to get her for Christmas. I'm considering splashing out (not like me!) and getting her and her 11y sister an iPad each.
We are cancelling out winter wonderland trip to centre parcs the weekend after her birthday and see that the money we are saving on that might be worth treating them to something they will love and will last them a few years.
Hoping Black Friday might bring some apple deals 🤞🏼

Bike.
Suitcase - seems sensible now that nobody is travelling anywhere Grin

I'm looking at the Tobi Robot smart wach for my 8 year old niece but not sure if it's a bit babyish for her.

Mine would like a tie dye kit, roller boots and some mouldable foam soap (around £1 at Superdrug so I've been informed)
