Hello,

My niece and nephew live in the uk and normally come home for Christmas. Unfortunately this year they're not going to be able to so I'd like to order something online and get it sent to them instead.

Any ideas? Their parents aren't v helpful!

For reference:
11yo girl is into crafts, drawing, I'm guessing she likes clothes, she's into gaming but I don't know what type.

He's massively into Minecraft, introverted, not really into sports. He used to love Lego but he's grown out of that apart from sets that might be £200+!

Budget is about £40 each.

Thanks!!

For the girl what about some art supplies in a lovely wooden Case? You get watercolour pen things that you fill with water and use alongside special pencils.

For the boy what about gaming headphones? Or a gaming keyboard or mouse?

Great ideas thanks!

Are minecraft clothes too baby-ish for a 13yo boy?

My 13yo boy wouldn't wear mine craft clothes I don't think

I have a 10yo daughter and she loves a big crayola briefcase type thing she got last year. Also I'd bet money on it being Roblox that she plays. If so she'd probably love robux vouchers.

For the crafty 11yo - watercolour pencils, mixed media drawing/painting pads (a3/a4/a5), watercolour palette, charcoals, pastels, acrylic paints, canvases that you colour in (hobbycraft good for these and v cheap), fine line pens, powder poster paints that you mix with water yourself, wet clay, fimo soft set, stone painting set (you can assemble one of these yourself by collecting some stones, and buying acrylic pens and/or paint and spray varnish to seal the creations)

If budget is £49 per child, rather than between them, you could buy Vans (shoes) for the boy if you could find out his size. You can get them for £40.

My 13 ur old son who is 5ft7 + loves Jack Wills. T shirt and or hoody or Holister.
He definitely would not wear minecraft clothing.
Money is always a winner

As for an 11 year old girl I would have suggest really nice art materials. lovely paints, crayons and art paper.

oh no!!! my DD would go mad if she was given something like this!!!!!

@whattodo2019

Haha fair enough - to be honest he did ask for it rather than us take a punt on it. The 10 year old also wants one now though!

AlwaysLatte · 21/10/2020 00:09

Another thing we bought him last year was a personalised Xbox controller (we let him design his own online). It was a little bit more expensive but a very well used bit of kit!

My 11-yr-old DD would be thrilled with a whole load of newly published adventure books, a hooded dressing gown, Snoopy bits and pieces such as stationery, a thermos food container thingy, a pair of Converse, a funky beach towel and a Gap hoodie.

Is your niece in Y6 or Y7? If she's not yet in Y7 then perhaps a decent rucksack - Kanken or Eastpak are popular with my DDs and their friends (aged 11-17).

Wow what brilliant suggestions, thank you everyone.

My nephew is very tall, at least 5'7 with size 8 feet! I'll check out about Vans and Jack Wills with his mum.

I've picked out an art box that has 12 watercolour pans so I'm also going to get some nice paper and some pen brushes.

Well I just found out she's banned from Roblox for playing inappropriate games! So that was indeed the game she was playing @thaegumathteth
