Can you buy bulbs as Christmas gifts in December?

Bulbs are normally planted in autumn when the ground is warm.

I usually ask for potted blue hyacinths for christmas & my DB buys from local florist. I also buy potted amaryllis bulbs as gifts.

You can usually buy potted bulbs for Christmas - put them in your fridge/outside in a shed to be good and cold for a few weeks to give them a head start on the ten weeks ‘underground’ cold feeling they need!

Ah, ok. I only searched for winter flowering on the website I linked to but they had a pretty big range of stuff so they may have what you're looking for
