Stocking fillers for boys 7 & 8 years old

Cyclingwidow15 · 17/10/2020 08:31

I’ve already bough almost all of their main presents. I just need some ideas for stocking fillers.

I tend to get them both the same things for the stockings to save arguments. So far for the stockings I have; shark bath bombs, novelty bookmarks, a eugy craft animal and astronaut food.

I will probably buy some chocolate or sweets nearer the time.

Any other suggestions?
TIA

My 8 yr old wants a voice modulator so I am getting a mini one to go in his stocking.

Weepingwillows12 · 17/10/2020 08:34

Whoopee cushion and joke things like fake moustaches.....or maybe it's just my boys!

Ghouliet · 17/10/2020 08:37

Whoopie cushions, bubbles, a Matchbox car, or coin from the Royal Mint?

FairFriday · 17/10/2020 08:39

Skipping rope, jacks, Rory story cubes, mini microscope, torch, cards.

Feckmesideways · 17/10/2020 08:51

I bought mine a Japanese sweets hamper each from amazon, the stuff looks really quirky and fun.

Morgan12 · 17/10/2020 08:52

Sweets, mini lego, vbucks voucher, fake tattoos.

That's what I have so far for mine.

My son turns 8 Christmas week. So far, I have:
Bath bombs
Riddle cards
‘Would your rather....’ book
Beano ‘Jurassic Bark’ book
Harry Potter Top Trumps
Harry Potter 10 colour pen
Small origami set
HP chocolate frogs
Pass the Pigs
Crystal growing tree
Nerf pellets
Small Lego set

Nearer the time, I will buy a chocolate Santa to go at the top.

Cyclingwidow15 · 17/10/2020 10:03

Some great ideas so far, thank you.
Origami the 8yo would love.
How did I forget about Lego? I have added a Lego blind bag to the list for each of them.
I think they would love the Japanese sweets!
Hot chocolate stirrers I usually give one Christmas Eve. Will have a look for some of those as well.

RubaiyatOfAnyone · 17/10/2020 13:52

For dd(5, but i think would suit any primary school age) i have so far got:

-Rainbow coloured metal reusable straws

  • Toroidal rings
  • this mini disco light which is totally brilliant for the money
www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B0795115F8?psc=1&ref=ppx_pop_mob_b_asin_title&tag=mumsnetforu03-21
  • bath sprudels which dye the bath colours and fizz away to reveal a sponge animal at the centre (for older kids there are dinosaur eggs etc along similar lines.
Leeds2 · 17/10/2020 13:53

A yoyo, or Rubik's cube.
Joke book.
Latest edition of favourite comic/magazine.
Can of fizzy drink if this isn't usually allowed!
