I’m stumped this year. 9 year old has asd, she doesn’t play with toys at all. She likes Harry Potter Lego sets (builds them then they MUST NOT be touched!) and a set of gymnastics hoops we have and that’s about it. She reads a fair bit, likes Star Wars and HP but wouldn’t dress up or play with action figures.
We don’t have a garden but I would love to get her a physical activity type toy or equipment.
(Soon to be) 7yr old, a real girly girl who’s birthday is a few weeks before Christmas. She loves barbie and sylvanians, dressing up, pretend makeup, drawing and reading (quite bright and reads at the level of a 10-11 year old).
They have both asked for a switch, I’m VERY reluctant as we could only afford one, 9 year old gets very possessive of her stuff and we have nightmares with sharing the tablet as it is. Also not exactly thrilled about the thought of another screen/gaming type thing as again 9 year old gets obsessed with them and it’s all she wants to do.
Seeing as all days out, panto etc aren’t happening I do have a slightly bigger budget than normal this year.
