Best fidget toys for older child

Looking for something to pop in his stocking!

My DS is 12 and a fidgeter. He bites his nails, taps his pen, rocks on his chair etc. He’s really trying hard to stop biting his nails but it’s just making his other habits come out even more. He keeps getting told off at school for rocking on his chair and the constant tapping is distracting for others. He used to have a fidget toy in junior school but needs something a bit more discreet in secondary school. Any suggestions?

I’ve bought him som mohdoh to have at home but because it’s scented I don’t think he’d be allowed to have it in school.

A small lump of playdoh/ bluetac to fiddle with?

My dd likes silicone bracelets (charity often sell them) that she twists round her fingers and pays with and are on the super discrete level.
Fidget cubes and pads are good but can be noisy.
Little bit of blutack.

Well the mohdoh is basically that but it’s infused with essential oils so he can’t have it in school I would imagine. Maybe if it helps I could just give him some unscientific stuff to have with him.

*unscented not unscientific!

Katcatkat, do you just mean those stretchy wristband type things?

Yes that's the things

DS is 11 (and also a fidgeter). This was intended to improve strength for spin bowling in cricket, but he's always fiddling with it

rings

I have bought the rings for dd, she likes fidget spinners.

The Works has a great variety of fidget stuff. Something else I’ve found very successful is elastic ages bracelets with beads- from a man’s clothing shop like H &M

Bought my son a few fidget pens, they fit in very nicely at secondary school! Amazon have several.
