Exactly that. New nana here. I know that she won't be aware at all but obviously I want to buy a few things. Any suggestions on relevant or useful presents? Frivolous suggestions too!

A personalised dressing gown

AriettyHomily · 16/10/2020 09:40

Christmas decoration to keep.
Something she can grow into like a jumperoo?
Personalised story book, there are some beautiful ones around
Money for a savings account or a premium bonds

Because her mum and dad will just have got everything for baby i would suggest a tree ornament, a set if child's cutlery, and money either given to the parents or you tell them in 6 months when they need/want something then the money is there. Really what I would have wanted at 3 months was for my Xmas dinner cooked for me and to not have to wash up! That would be a wonderful gift.

Djeco night light or vTech lullaby lights lamp
High chair toy like Freddie the Firefly
Tummy time roller
Skip Hop snack pot
Ewan the dream sheep
Sophie la Giraffe cup
Musical cot mobile

So many great suggestions on here.
Oh I love a snuggley little post Bath baby in a beautiful soft dressing gown. So much easier than trying to wrap them in those triangular towels, and warmer and softer too.
Sophie le giraffe items and Ewen the sheep were both things my mum bought my two when they were babies and they were used a lot!

A little outfit or a decoration for the tree. A nice one tho that they'll want to keep. Not a tacky one.
Money for her bank account or premium bonds. She will appreciate that a lot more in years to come

My DS was 12 weeks last Christmas. My absolute favourite present was a personalised toy box

HanPanPeg · 16/10/2020 13:57

Grimms rainbow / other Grimms toy. They are ££ but last for ages and are a bit more special than usual plastic stuff

Thanks everyone, some fab suggestions here.
I'll be doing Christmas lunch so that's one present in the can for my daughter!
