@fredelliottisayfredelliot I had a look at the echo show last year. I think i watched a video on QVC or something. You can do stuff like ask alexa for a recipe and it will show you a recipe. I want a ring camera and there's a prime bundle which means I get the ring camera discounted, but only £15 more to add the echo show, so I'm going for it (obviously in this case, it will also act as a screen for me to see the view from the outdoor camera)
Thanks for that. I actually have the ring doorbell, unfortunately I haven't found it great at all. Very finicky, works when it wants to

SweetPeaPods · 13/10/2020 12:02

Fantastic gin deals on amazon.

makingmiracles · 13/10/2020 12:02

Thanks @Treesandpeas for the catch kids tonight hamper, got one for my brothers gf so that’s her done

Thanks @IveGotALovelyBunchOfCoconuts for the fake makeup, my dd4 will love it!

Bagged a £10 benefit smokey eyes set from boots, gutted the flock one had already sold out-that was a mega saving, anyhow that’s my niece finished now, always dread benefit stuff as its so expensive and I always miss the offers- a heads up for ordering stuff online from boots to click and collect-online it charges you £1.50 to click and collect if its under £20 but you can go into store if you’re near one and they will order it in at no extra charge, I did that this morning as I was at opticians next to boots!

Flash sale at the body shop

thaegumathteth · 13/10/2020 12:10

I bought the bakedin rainbow cake set using my £10 credit - it was reduced to £9.99 so it was free.

MumbleJunction · 13/10/2020 12:10

If anybody finds sticker books that work with the Amazon prime day credit I'd be so grateful to hear (the one from the small business deal). Or any other ideas on how to spend £3.45!

TheLastStarfighter · 13/10/2020 12:11

@Fredelliottisayfredelliott@FrolickingLemon

I just bought an Echo Show 8 (to give to my parents so we can video call over the winter if it’s too cold to sit in the garden).

Random extra discounts were added at checkout. I went for the black Show 8 at £59.99 and added the magnetic stand as an option, which should have been an extra £24.99. When I checked out it further discounted the package to £49.99.

littlestpogo · 13/10/2020 12:12

There are some good Lego sets on prime deal atm.

Just to note though I had some in my basket and the price drop didn’t show. I only noticed by looking at the prime deal page

Ooh interesting! I'll have a look thanks

Can anyone recommend a hot curling brush for a 16 year old? She has GHD straighteners and a curling iron, but looking for something to give bigger bouncy curls. Thank you!

truthlemon · 13/10/2020 12:23

I got my £10 off an air fryer

Juliecloud · 13/10/2020 12:28

Are there any Lotties on offer at the moment? DD has announced that she wants one!

Ewock · 13/10/2020 12:38

This isn't Prime but Smyths Toys have discounts up to 50% off some toys. I bought my daughter the Paw Patrol Dino HQ for £50 down to £40. I was originally hoping to get it in the spend £50 get £10 off and had decided I wouldn't when they announced they wouldn't be doing that this year. so I was happy when this came up.

Cloud1921 · 13/10/2020 12:40

Thanks for the tip about clicking on the items on your wish list to see the prime price. I'd got a few on there I didn't realise were reduced

Exploding kittens is down to £11.19

buckeejit · 13/10/2020 12:47

@TheLastStarfighter Can you check to see if it included the stand please? When I tick to add it, it doesn't seem to add it to the order?

Thank you to the pp for Asda Baileys 1l down to £12. I haven't got a Tesco nearby so went into Asda and got some :)

Also thank you to pp that updated me on Primark selling the head massagers. Finally picked one up for £1 as a stocking filler. I missed them last year and have popped in a few times lately and they haven't had them. I was going to give up until the update from pp. Thanks!

Rubyroo73 · 13/10/2020 12:52

thank you @luckiestgirl !

PowerslidePanda · 13/10/2020 12:55

@Fredelliottisayfredelliott - I find it really useful just glancing at the Echo Show - it displays the outside temperature, the next thing on your calendar, a bunch of news headlines, etc. DD likes asking it to show her pictures of various things. If you use skills like Animal Sounds, it displays photos as well as making the noises (helpful for my little DTs, learning their animals!). We have a couple of Dots as well, but I like the Show a lot more.

PowerslidePanda · 13/10/2020 12:57

Oh - and we've also used the camera on the Echo Show to check on the house when we've been away on holiday!

suneetime · 13/10/2020 13:02

I would definitely recommend clicking on your wish list items. A pair of earphones I had in mine were an additional 40% off and two CDs were half price.

I'm having the same thing!

I seem to have bought one of every type of echo for people today, I've also bought the ring 3 doorbell/show 5 bundle which is £129 or £119 depending on if you chose the pre-roll option. Which I dithered about because of mixed reviews but since I was going to buy the show anyway that made the ring incredibly cheap!!

buckeejit · 13/10/2020 13:13

@Oreocrumbs I need to buy 2 shoes to do the video calls & don't want to pay £50 more for the stands but video calling my parents is painful as they are not so tech savvy. Would be much better if we could all drink tea & just talk to the screen!

poppyrock · 13/10/2020 13:17

Just a tip if anyone is looking to replace a kindle for Prime Day (or after!). I contacted Amazon chat a couple of weeks ago and said I had scratched my (five year old!) Kindle Paperwhite screen. I explained it was entirely my own fault and I was just getting in touch to see if there was a way for me to pay to have the screen replaced. He said that they didn't do repairs but that he'd apply a 15% voucher from any kindle model to my account so I could buy a new one.

I bought a new paperwhite just now for just over £50 as it was reduced for Prime Day, took 15% off the price and also took off the £10 credit I had from the small business offer 😊
