Advice on Corrymoor socks for DH!

I want to get DH a pair of these for Christmas but can’t really work out which style to get. Some have a cushioned sole, others don’t appear to have this but have a ribbed cuff that doesn’t dig in which sounds nice. DH has quite solid calves so something that doesn’t cut in would be good!

Has anyone got a pair-or either the Explorer or the Adventurer maybe, and can tell me what they’re like?

Don't do it. Bought a pair once as a gift, they were like some sort of torture device, so itchy.

Yes, that is why I bought them too as the reviews said they were wonderful but honestly they were so awful, I cannot imagine anyone enjoying wearing them! They are a bit of a standing joke with us now - remember when you bought those torture socks
