Any ideas for a small token gift?

I'd rather avoid smellies or food - I know some have allergies.

One of those mini bottles of wine always goes down well Smile

It the past I've done notebooks, or handwarmers for a teacher who did forest school sessions, or a christmas decoration.

I most often do a small box of chocs though,as I figure that anyine who can't eat them can pass them on.

A voucher for a coffee shop?
Bottle of wine/prosecco?
Voucher for a bookshop?

Might be best checking if they can accept gifts this year. I know some schools are limiting what can and can’t be brought into school due to COVID.

We have a class whats app group and organise a whip around and just send a voucher from the class. Generally there’s an upper limit but no pressure to donate if you don’t want as some parents prefer to do their own thing. We did it on PayPal in the summer, and sent an e voucher.
It’s so much easier than thinking up gifts.

Booze.

Onceuponatimethen · 10/10/2020 21:53

I’m not sure what we are doing, due to covid. I think we are asking school secretary what is appropriate

I took in booze at the end of the summer term... they seemed pleased!

Will probably just do thoughtful cards at Christmas. We are tight financially at the mo.

I've done a Costa gift card in the past, or a box of sharing things- so a big box of (wrapped) chocolates like celebrations, one year i did a 'tea break' box for the nursery staff with post-its on the seperate items- so nice branded tea bags "For energy after a busy morning", chamomile tea "For when it's been 'one of those days' ", a tin of fancy biscuits, some other nibbles. But this year I think it'll be more individual because of Covid.

I am a TA and a drawing from a child saying Merry Christmas, or thank you for something I'd done for them, would be perfect for me!
