I’ve seen lots of make up ones or ones for younger children or men but is there any for a 14 year old? Not Harry Potter!

I usually get a chocolate one but he’s the only dc left at home so want to spoil him a bit.

Not On The High St does loads (you can also buy direct from the companies).

I usually go for food/drink: hot chocolate was a hit

Marshmallow or popcorn?

Notasyoungasiwas · 07/10/2020 15:48

There was a great Marvel one (on Zavvi, I think) There's also a toiletries one from Mancave

Fantastic thank you! I was obviously looking in all of the wrong places!

Would he like one that allows you to build a radio bit by bit?

Love it when people read the OP.

Does he like football? My son has the football card one each year

movingonup20 · 07/10/2020 22:28

Dd had cheese last year, if he likes cheese

midnightstar66 · 07/10/2020 22:30

Has he grown out of Lego? My 22 year old nephew still loves a Lego calendar.

I'm the odd one out on MN. I refuse to buy Advent Calendars with stuff in and go for one with just little pictures behind the doors. DCs still argue about whose turn it is and never miss a day when they are at home to do it. Youngest is 18 and still gets cross if someone steals his turn.

OatcakeCravings · 08/10/2020 08:02

Mankind had some Funko pop ones, Dragon Ball Z and the night before Xmas.

megletthesecond · 08/10/2020 08:06

I like the Haynes one.
The dc's usually have chocolate but I might treat them to a fancy one this year.

Techway · 08/10/2020 10:38

I use an old fashioned door opening paper calendar and then have a box besides with treats for each day. Thus has been such a hit as it allowed me to personalise with some posh chocolates or beauty products and is advent calendar/lucky dip

Lovemusic33 · 08/10/2020 15:48

Can highly recomend the naked marshmallow one 😋

I think I have seen a retro gaming calendar somewhere too that looks good.

Bananaman123 · 08/10/2020 20:56

Oldraver · 09/10/2020 13:48

I've ordered the Haynes one though not actually got it yet

Might have to look for a back up

SaffyWall · 09/10/2020 13:54

I got my eldest a JellyBelly one last year (from Debenhams I think) - it was a hit! Apart from the buttered popcorn flavoured jelly beans!
