Does anyone have an amazing recipe for making mincemeat for mince pies?

I like Delia’s recipe - it tastes good, is easy to make and keeps well.

Nigella's recipe with fresh cranberries is delicious!

Mary Berry uses butter instead of suet. It is absolutely delicious! www.maryberry.co.uk/recipes/christmas/special-mincemeat

I found this one too

I think I'm going to be overloaded with different mincemeats this year!

It isn't mincemeat without proper butcher's suet!

MonaChopsis · 03/10/2020 19:27

Another vote for Delia's... Delicious and makes the entire house smell like Christmas for days!

lorisparkle · 03/10/2020 19:32

We always use vegetable suet in ours. It is a family tradition making the mincemeat and Christmas pudding together and then making a wish!

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 03/10/2020 21:10

Delia's is fab and fool proof. Uses suet but I always use vegetable suet anyway so that I can serve to friends who wouldn't eat beef suet.

MrsHerculePoirot · 03/10/2020 21:13

Delia’s with the vegetarian suet. Just mixed ours all to soak overnight!
