Where can I get a nice personalised stocking?

DD got one after she was born at a Christmas Fayre, it's holly green towelling (well it's a soft sort of towelling) with her name in gold script and a patchwork reindeer.

I want DS to have an equally lovely one, but everywhere I've seen them they are plan and dont like they have much mileage in them.

Any ideas

bump - cos I'd quite like to know too.

You could personalise these - cheap!

Walnutshell · 10/10/2007 18:47

Not sure about these but also inexpensive

Walnutshell · 10/10/2007 18:48

But if you have a few pounds, these are lovely

disneystore-shopping.disney.co.uk/ProdList.aspx?CatId=3&SCatId=336 There's a personalised Pooh stocking and several sacks available here.

We got ours from Lands end, they are beautiful and also quite small, so it doesn't take much to fill them.

Thanks for these suggestions. I need it to be the same size as DD's which is rather long so in years to come I dont suffer arguements of 'how come hers is bigger than mine?'

So far I think the only thing on a par is the Disney store sack, which is lovely, but I really wanted a stocking. However if I can't find anything else at least I know I can get that.

This is a lesson to learn - never buy big the first time round as you have to match it for no.2

can you make one? I made one for dd, need to make ds one this year. I copied the ones we had as children which were made by mum and aunt. I hope dc's will love them as much as I did when i was younger. Shame dad threw them all out when he moved

Kewcumber · 11/10/2007 09:54

I might check out Landsend...

I love those Aspen and Brown ones, but there is no way I am paying £35 for one. I don't think they would be that hard to make though with a few bits of fabric, some ribbon and fabric felt tips to write their names on.
