How to secure Christmas lights to the garage and tree. No gutter.

This year I'd like to string lights from the garage and over to the tree at the back. The front of the garage has a gutter but the apex has nothing that I could hang them from before the go over to the tree. Any ideas as to how I could secure them? It's a plastic edged roof so I can whack nails into it.thank you 🎄

Cable ties? Sorry I can’t picture what you mean.

Perhaps command strips might work if the lights aren’t too heavy

We use those little suction hooks.

I'll post a photo later. I've never put lights on there before.

Command hooks or duct tape.

Command hooks. Use plenty and the right size for the weight, they can easily come off when you are de-decorating.

I am armed with gutter hooks for the part that has a gutter, white duct tape, and screw in hooks for the fence although I think I can use the fence posts and loop them round. I just need to find someone with a ladder I can borrow now to get up to the apex of the roof.
