Stunning Xmas confectionery, biscuits. I'm about to ££ fortnum and mason, is there anywhere cheaper?

I'm so tempted by their Christmas biscuits, I can't link but they are beautiful foxes, snowmen, an owl. They look incredible, also gorgeous chocolates, chocolate Advent calenders.

Has anyone had the Advent calender?
Is there anywhere else doing similar goodies for slightly cheaper?

Hmm I can't see the Christmas ones. The Halloween ones are lovely though

AutumnleavesturntoGold · 28/09/2020 22:04

Master, I found the Xmas version by accident! Really hard to find again but they are so beautiful.

Rococo chocolates so beautiful Xmas treats

Fivemoreminutes1 · 29/09/2020 05:22

Honeywell and Biscuiteers are amazing, but also very expensive. For chocolates, I’d look at Chococo.

I've just found out f and m, do not use palm oil!

Selfridges have beautiful gingerbread houses and biscuits nearer to Christmas.

If you are in London in December, the Lebanese Green Valley delis have amazing Christmas sweets - really exquisite marzipan fruits, chocolates, Turkish delight in every flavour you can imagine, baclava, nougat, sugared fruits and jellies etc. They sell them in prepackaged boxes but also individually that they will arrange on presentation plates and wrap beautifully for you. They are about £25 a kilo (and a kilo is a lot of sweets...). They also have gingerbread houses.

ProperVexed · 30/09/2020 07:19

Oh, they are beautiful! Too good to eat!

No idea how much the F&M biscuits are but Biscuiteers website have some gorgeous biccies. They're not cheap either (& no clue if they're on par with F&M's offerings, but they look lovely).

Where are they from, if you don't mind?
anotherhumanfemale · 30/09/2020 19:11

73 those are in an F&M box.

AutumnleavesturntoGold · 30/09/2020 19:47

Twee yes! On line I could only see smaller round tins or boxes of about 5 biscuits. Just so beautiful!

Are there any links, couldn't find them at all.

TweeBree · 01/10/2020 09:27

They are quite fiddly to find. I think F&M is still updating the site so links keep changing:

You could try Honeywell honeywellbakes.com/product-category/seasonal-gifts/

I didn’t like Biscuiteer the tin had a cheap sticker on it, inside packaging was lovely and the biscuits looked good but lacking in flavour.

lurkingattheback · 19/10/2020 06:58

Old thread but I found an independent bakery that are selling iced biscuits.

Gardeners Cookies. I'm sure there's more around.

Oh my word !
But I can’t justify the price !
DD bakes to a very high standard and she is the only one who would appreciate the artistry and would want to make her own .

Roselilly36 · 19/10/2020 07:59

Wow they look wonderful, but I could never justify that expense, how the other half live eh.

MyBowelsMatch · 19/10/2020 08:10

I would stay well away from Biscuiteers. I had a delivery and the biscuits were very soft, obviously some air had got in to the packaging.
When I contacted their customer service people I was basically told that no, their biscuits are perfect!!! in other words they nearly said “How dare you criticise our product??!!!” Honestly I’ve never had such arrogance from a company. Steer clear!

canihaveacoffeeplease · 19/10/2020 09:11

Oh they are gorgeous! No help here but we live in Australia and David Jones (department store) have F&M goodies in, including a gorgeous musical carousel biscuit tin, it's bloody lovely and I dearly want to get it for Christmas (and then get it out and refill every christmas) but it is $60 which is ridiculous for some biscuits!

Mumdiva99 · 19/10/2020 09:18

Those 12 days of Christmas biscuits are Amazing. I would love them. (But would never spend that much myself).

I keep getting a Facebook ad for beautiful biscuits - similar to those but cheaper....of course now I can't find it....but they did Halloween, cat themed biscuits, new baby etc.... so do look around.

EvilPea · 19/10/2020 09:32

I know this is an old thread but thought I’d chime in!!
I really didn’t like the biscuiteers biscuits I was bought. They tasted of nothing just sweet icing.
Looked lovely, but the tin was just a tin with a pretty sticker on so you couldn’t keep it as a patterned tin.

Style over substance with that one. Bettys are tasty though.
