Christmas at Kew - is 8pm too late?

Just looking at Kew and was thinking about booking the last slot so that we can go and have dinner first and make a night of it. Is 8pm too late? How long does it take to get around it? We're combining it with a day at relatives about 30mins away so would rather a later slot. Is there anything else to do other than the lights? It seems to imply that there is usually a funfair but not this year.

Is this for the lights?

We went last year and probs takes max an hour to wander round (depending how fast you walk). Other than that there's food/drink stalls and the gift shop but that's it from what I can remember.

Obviously might be different this year! We really enjoyed it last year.

It’s fantastic, you’ll love it. 8pm definitely not too late. I can recommend the Glasshouse restaurant close to the entrance. V sad we won’t be going this year.
