If you could buy your DCs anything, what would it be?

Not so much money but space - if I had a big garden I’d buy a giant climbing frame, slide apparatus thing

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/09/2020 19:36

Lego Diagon Alley.
Actually, just the entire Lego shop. For me really.

cultkid · 18/09/2020 19:37

Massive fucking Wendy house so they were out my hair

Fred578 · 18/09/2020 19:37

These answers Grin

IDontDrinkTea · 18/09/2020 19:38

Probably some kind of epic climbing frame / Wendy house / swingy slide contraption for the garden

adviceplease11 · 18/09/2020 19:38

Private school

Aroundtheworldin80moves · 18/09/2020 19:39

A heated swimming pool with roof.

NeutralJanet · 18/09/2020 19:40

The Lego Disney castle.

TheLastStarfighter · 18/09/2020 19:40

Love the swimming pool idea! Yes, that. In a big garden with trees.

Burplecutter · 18/09/2020 19:41

A really good education, with all the clubs and socialising to go along with it.

NancyBotwinBloom · 18/09/2020 19:53

The house next door

refriedbeanstalk · 18/09/2020 19:56

That "play" house that the little royals have, it's fancier than my actual house just very slightly smaller

bonzo77 · 18/09/2020 19:57

Private education and health insurance. All the extracurricular stuff. Pay their way through uni or help them start their own businesses. Deposit for their first homes.

JesusInTheCabbageVan · 18/09/2020 19:57

A massive ornate fountain for the garden, and a hideous dog statue he saw in an antique shop and fell in love with (think Boysie from Only Fools and Horses, only 8).

nowaitaminute · 18/09/2020 20:08

As someone who has a big garden with trees and a treehouse and swings, a slide, a playhouse etc etc I am here to tell you they soon bore of it unless you are literally out there with them ALL the time 🤣🤣🙈😩

But I would love to build on a room purely for Lego...I would organise it all by colour and shape and have a huge Lego baseboard in the middle of the floor

Asj0405 · 18/09/2020 20:50

Ooo good question, top 5
A house for when they're older (would rent it out now and use the profit for first car/uni)
Private Tutor
A horse
A swimming pool
Tickets to to Disney land

Bluewavescrashing · 18/09/2020 21:00

What would you buy them to go under the tree, though? 🎄

For me it would be all about beautiful bespoke stuff. A fairy tale book collection personalised with their names on and particular stories chosen, and a snow globe. I would love them to be into Lego but they are little (I'd so love to have an excuse to buy all the harry potter Lego!)

I don't like them to have too much to be honest. I hate clutter and waste and a piles of toys, but I'd love them to have a beautiful personalised toy box each too. And a lovely purpose built art and craft supply box for DD

IsolaPribby · 18/09/2020 21:02

A Gold Edition Barbie. She puts one on the list for Father Christmas every year.

OnlyFoolsnMothers · 18/09/2020 21:10

Under normal non covid years/ tickets to
Expensive musicals in central London

Bickles · 18/09/2020 21:11

As this is the Christmas board I’ll say Christmas presents rather than a house, a car, a pony and an education!
For DS this year it’s all about Lego so he’d get Diagon Alley, the Star Wars Cantina, a few Avengers sets, Attack on the burrow, and a Monkey King Mech.
TBH with Covid it’s likely that a lot of this will find its way here this winter!Grin

ZarasHouse · 18/09/2020 21:15

A giant garden. Trampoline for DC1, climbing frame with monkey bars, swings and slide for DC2, large sunk hot tub/ kids swimming pool for DC3.

Devlesko · 18/09/2020 21:18

Their mortgages, and the last dependant dc a comfortable, not luxurious financial worry free higher ed, and then mortgage.

You did say money no object.

LindaEllen · 18/09/2020 21:19

I'd love to be able to get my stepson a ps5. My partner asked him did he think he might like one and he replied no his ps4 was fine, but we're both fairly sure he's saying it because he knows we're short on cash at the moment. Seriously thinking about putting it on my credit card and getting him one for Christmas. He's had a rubbish year, and not just because of everything that's gone on!

Deadringer · 18/09/2020 21:20

Their own house and a live in nanny.
