Can anyone recommend a really nice version of this book? I am keen to start reading it to my children and would like to get a copy to treasure for the future.

May depend to some extent on the age of the children. I bought one for little Gdcs that had beautiful illustrations, but there were double page spreads with no pictures, so I’m saving that.

I bought this one (with lift-the-flap) for them last year - they were 3 and 4 - and another colourful one with pop ups - I think Usborne and we alternated - they loved them both.
