Looking for ideas for men. I've got my dh to buy for and brother and looking for inspiration!

Thank you!

I really need ideas too. My DH is difficult to buy for. He doesn't have any hobbies and he buys himself what he wants throughout the year. He'd be perfectly happy with coffee/whisky/aftershave every birthday and Christmas but I like to try to get him at least one present he wouldn't expect.

That said, gifts that have gone down well before are:

Posh coffee beans from Fortnum and Mason
Japanese whisky (can buy it in Sainsbury's)
Beanie hat from Joules
Dark chocolate curls for melting into milk for proper hot chocolate
Reversible belt (black one side, brown the other)
Storage box for watches
Aeropress for coffee
L'Occitane hand cream

A combination of things that my DH has mentioned or that have been successful in the past:
Food flask
Pizza oven
Magazine subscription
Spice box from The Spicery
Tank driving experience
Powerbank
LED beanie hat
HP sprocket photo printer
Ugears model kit
National trust/English heritage/RHS membership
Bluetooth shower speaker
Day and night clock from Suck UK
Solar phone charger
Jigsaw mat
iPad case
Beer bottle coolers/chilling sleeves
Microfibre towel
Camera tripod
United Oddsocks tin
Moleskin diary for the next year
Swell water bottle
Chilli plant

I've ordered some boardgames for dp - Shobu and The Fox in the Forest Duet. One will be for Christmas and the other for his birthday which is in December. He will probably get a gravitrax expansion (he loves gravitrax as much as the dc). I'll be keeping my eyes open for any tickets to something he might enjoy, or maybe for a promising looking graphic novel too.

Absolutely nothing for DH. Never have!

Brother, beer/gin etc. Always goes down well.

My DP sits at his desk quite a lot when he's home so I got him a mini massage cushion thing that rotates. Also some track suits. That's all I've found for him so far.

Hubby got an apple watch for joint Xmas birthday gift this year so will get a stocking this year with smellies and a pen/pencil combo (uses for work) and new socks and pants!

WinWinnieTheWay · 07/09/2020 04:20

Instead of stuff we are having a weekend away. Well do stockings on the day,.

ZeldaSmelda · 07/09/2020 07:20

My DP is getting:
A handheld Nintendo preloaded with the classic mario game
A projector/screen to plug his PS4 into
Tickets for something but right now I have no idea what
A print of the stars which we slept under a few years ago
A personalised chilli’s bottle so he can have ice cold water when he’s playing sports (or hot coffee if he wants)
Socks
Nice shower gel.

My dad is getting a hamper made up of all his favourite sweets and a phone case with a picture of DS on.

For Father’s Day got DH a wallet with rfid blocking, it was well received.

If they enjoy cooking recommend The Spicery’s how to be a curry legend kit, it was a bit hit with DH last year after a recommendation on here. There will be a referral code in the referral thread.

Not started Xmas yet but for dh birthday I've got him an art of frozen 2 book (massive Disney fan and artist), a mivkst mouse black hoodie from the Disney store and a Bob Ross funko keyring - probably not helpful if you don't know any men who love Disney and drawing lol

Think I'm going to get dbro a pineapple plant as apparently he would love one

Been looking at escape room type games from bil

One bought other bil a voucher to go cycling at the velodrome which was greatly received

Dh got a velvetiser last year and uses it every day without fail

I'm thinking a fitness sled and stand up desk for my husband. Super interesting. Haha!

An Oodie (or similar) for my Dad who is always cold, but lives with my Mum who is always hot! Maybe a nice whiskey too.

BullshitVivienne · 10/09/2020 13:37

I can recommend a National Geographic subscription. My partner says it's nice to have something physical to read.

Mumofcats5 · 10/09/2020 13:42

My husband loves his Private Eye subscription

micc · 10/09/2020 13:42
