I’m starting to plan for presents and am at a loss on what to get the DC. DD is 3 and loves dolls, princesses, fairies all things girly basically. 1 year old DS doesn’t have too many interests yet, he like in the night garden, bing, hey duggee. Any ideas? Budget is generally 100-300 each

For your dd, Our Generation Dolls are great. Similar to the American Girl Dolls but a lot cheaper. You can get outfits and play sets for them as well.

We do

  • Something you want
  • Something you need
  • Something to wear
  • Something to read
Makes it a lot easier to pick things out.

Also a tip: Go onto a store website such as Target or Walmart and most will categorise toys by age. Looking online also makes it a lot easier to find sales or compare prices! Smile

Thank you I’ll definitely look into that!

1 year old DS - little tikes cosi car or little tikes truck that has two cars inside both were popular here. Farm animals and a small tractor. Football and small goal.

My DD was 3 last year we got her a leap start with a few books and she loved it! Magnatiles and tegu blocks are also great :) she also asked for a baby doll :)
For your 1 year old maybe some wooden blocks or brio? Or one if those wooden stacking rainbows or wooden animal balancing game, you can get these on Amazon:)

micc · 04/09/2020 18:07

Oh I've seen a wooden staking hey duggee game on Amazon too!!

My dd will be 3 months off three at Christmas. We have so much stuff from dd7 it’s hard this year!

We are planning on getting her a bike with stabilizers , Polly pockets ( they are very small but she loves them )
A toy garage , more peppa toys .

We have the usual dolls , buggys, kitchen , play dough , art stuff, scooters etc so it’s very hard this year with her!
Il be keeping an eye on this thread for more ideas !

@micc they duggee sounds amazing!

A bike may be a good idea @GiveMeAllTheGin8

They aren’t cheap but we bought DD2 a wheeliebug for her first birthday and she used it for years.

anorangeaday · 04/09/2020 18:41

@MrsPnut they do look good actually I think DS would enjoy them

We bought the bigger size and we only got rid of it when she was about 7. In fact I think we sold it on because it was still in pretty good condition.

anorangeaday · 04/09/2020 19:51

Oh that’s great! I was worried they may grow out of it too quickly but that sounds brill thank you

My DS will be 14 months at Christmas. We're thinking a ride on toy will be his main present (I'm waiting until after his birthday to decide on other stuff)
He's also getting a Happyland farm and toot toot garage from grandparents. He'll probably be too little for them but he'll grow!

anorangeaday · 05/09/2020 17:52

DD had toot toot so they may be a good idea to get as she loved them when she was DS’s age
