Hi all you festive people!

I’m beginning to compile lists and shop and I am really struggling for ideas for DD who is in the 7-9 age range and would love some suggestions.

I’m really really stuck so any help would be much appreciated because if this carries on, she won’t be getting anything!

What is she into? Dd got a new bike, tablet, and roller skates for her main presents over that age range.

Schleich Bayala or Farm world is awesome for that age, depending on her interests. The figures are good as both toys and collectables. My 8 year old dd would love a switch too but given the dodgy buttons on the controllers I plan to wait and see if the next version is out next year instead. A new scooter maybe?

My daughter is the same age and top of her list is an Our Generation doll.

So that and probably a change of clothes for it. And then a switch game.

And some art stuff and new clothes and books.

From the parties my sons been into the girls seem to be really into L.O.L dolls, nail varnish and frozen x

My nine year olds are getting new bikes. (if we can bloody find any).

Last year they got Barbie stuff and last birthday they got ipods.

PhantomErik · 01/09/2020 16:07

At that age my DD was into Our Generation, Designa Friends & Lottie dolls + clothes to fit them.

Other popular things were books, lego, fimo, kite, hula hoop & audio books.

Hobby related gifts went down well like dance bag/hoodie, swim kit & towel, music folder. Stationery/stickers that match interests were good stocking fillers.

I have a 7 year old dd. For Xmas shes getting Lol dolls, sylvanian families, Lego trolls and friends, enchantimals doll, friendship bracelet set, jigsaw, bath bombs and a jewellery box.

I’m going to get DD 8 a camera. She doesn’t have a phone and is always asking to use my phone camera. I’m not sure whether to get the type that print the photo immediately or just a standard camera. She’d really love her own tv and a slime factory but we’ll see!

I have 7yo and 9yo DDs.

7yo likes exploring, Lego Friends, her doll and accessories. Really loves her dinosaurs as well (wants to be a Paleontologist)

9yo likes space, Harry Potter, HP Lego, reading, board games and puzzles

Both like collecting things like Beanie babies and small ornaments, sewing, craft, and science kits. Barbie's still very popular too.

My 7yo DD has no interest in any of these! It's mostly Lego (Friends / Batman / Marvel) and books.
Stompythedinosaur · 01/09/2020 18:35

I have 7 and 9yo girls. Their most used items at the moment are bikes, roller blades and skateboards.

For Christmas I am looking at harry potter lego, a turing tumble, hoodies reflecting their interests, polymer clay, pipkits charm making sets, headphones (wireless ones), lego dots and a taco blanket.

If I can find a second hand one I might get a cart thing to go on an old hoverboard that dp has to turn this into a hoverkart.

Stompythedinosaur · 01/09/2020 18:36

I've also just commissioned someone to draw them as anime characters (though this is mote a present for me, really).

Gurtcha · 01/09/2020 19:56

These are all excellent ideas thanks. She’s a tricky fish this one!
