Have you decided what your main present for your 3 or 4 year old would be this year?

Absolutely stuck on DC1

4 year old DD is getting barbie plane with pilot doll as her main present - she’s barbie mad so will be a hit and very glad to have managed to nab one when amazon was dropping to half price on/off this week

I have no clue for 3 year old DD!

We are fully stocked up on bikes, scooters, trampoline and with 2 dds so close in age we have so many things already!

We suspect our soon to be 3 year old will be getting a Barbie Camper of sorts, or a Barbie horse set.

Her birthday is just before Xmas and for that she is getting a Leapfrog Leapstart and a few books

I'm thinking about either the duplo frozen castle set or some other frozen castle. I'm worried she'll have moved on from frozen by Christmas though.

DD (3.7 at Xmas) will be getting (as her main presents) a Cabbage Patch doll (pre ordered it today from Smyths if anyone is interested) and Little People Frozen Palace and a sleigh to go with it. We do go overboard with her though so she'll get a lot more (such as a vanity case, Bo Peep and Rex from Toy Story and quite a bit more) but they're the bigger gifts.

Also stuck for ideas here, DS turns 3 in january, and is bright, but not hugely interested in lego or similar toys. Looking at the leapfrog stuff at the moment.

I think it was Hobbycraft that had massive cardboard houses and other things you can let them colour in.
They look impressive as a gift and are cheap.
Then maybe after the day you can actually find out what Santa forgot.
We did this for years, my children loved it.

bumblebeewine · 01/09/2020 11:31

@mummmy2017 how do you mean 'what Santa forgot'? Sounds intriguing 🤔

MikeEhrmantraut · 01/09/2020 11:40

Our son's birthday is right by Christmas. So far we've ordered a scooter, helmet, pj masks HQ toy, cat boy costume, loads of cheap paints, paper, stencils to make a craft box. Have got him a shark puppet for his stocking. Also considering playmobil, Lego and possibly a years membership at a local farm or soft play, as I had originally booked his birthday party at one but due to Covid they've gone out of business. So will probably just do a party at home so it's easier to manage if there's another lockdown and the party saving can pay for the membership for next year.

I used to love "what Santa forgot". My parents did it as did we with our children. Unfortunately I'm far too organised with storage to mis place a gift now days but I'm tempted to might keep something back for grandaughter for new years eve.

We got the Thomas Super Station last Christmas and I'm worried that nothing will live up to it. He still plays with it every day. DS will be 3.5 this Christmas.

Watching with interest! The Lego type stuff might be a decent shout.

Oh no Santa got you some lovely things this year.
Child crying but Santa forgot the dolly that wees.
Dolly which is now half the price in the sales.
So off we go to the sales, with money mummy didn't waste on gifts from Santa.
Child sees dolly on shelf and mummy gets dolly. Mummy saved £30. Child gets the gift I wasn't sure she wanted.
My child still love the Santa forgot shopping and so did my purse.

I have just had another thought, we got my DD a wobble board in lockdown and she loves it! Pricey what worth it, it really gets her imagination going and she loves to wobble while she watches the telly
