Planning ahead for toy sales

I thought I was making good progress with selecting toys for my 2 DC on the Argos website...until it came to check out and I realised that they literally only deliver things that are in stock where you live. So irritating.

So now I want to plan ahead for toy sales. I think Argos does 20% off all toys around November? And I think someone on here said Smyths is end September.

Any others to mark in my diary please? 🎁

Definitely going to try to get at least one present each in the next few months in case there's a lockdown. Yes, think smyths in September!

Yes smyths should be and of sept/october apparently. I've signed up for when the smyths catalogue comes out mid September to be sent out to me by post. Also their email list as I hope they'll give a heads up about the offers!

Argos has done 3 for 2 or something in the past haven't they? I'm sure there was some kind of random offer and of last year. I have no idea if boots will do their 3 for 2 offers this year (remember the outrage when they did 25% last year instead?).

I've been sad and watched some of the youtuber xmas shop with me type of videos recently and hope primark, b&m and poundland bring their a game back again this year lol x

Money Saving Expert runs a sales predictor every year which is pretty accurate. Keep an eye out for when that comes up, as they usually predict the dates of the Argos sales and a load of other retailers.

Tesco also do a 3 for 2 at some point if you have a big store near you. Our local one actually had a decent toy selection last year.

Argos did 20% off last year. So for example Week 1 was Mattel. Week 2 Lego. Week 3 games etc

Sainsbury’s have done toy sales (I think around October half term) for several years. Now they work so closely with Argos I wonder if they still will?

Amazon prime day is one to watch out for for toys too. Normally its July but not this year due to covid but rumor is it will be sometime in September. Some excellent deals last year, I saved big on a new range playmobil set and a baby annabelle and found it had better deals than black Friday and more choice.
