I know it's a while away but I am worried about shortages etc this year for obvious reasons. I need some inspiration for toddler gifts as the whole family ask me for a list for DD and I need to think of quite a bit. The things so far on the list are:

Dinosaur toys (no idea what ones!)
Fisher Price Frozen castle
Fisher Price Frozen sleigh
A doll- can't decide between: a Cabbage Patch, Kindi Kids, Baby Alive or Disney- advice?
Barbie Chelsea set and an extra doll for that? Maybe?
Soft toy
Lots of books

I need a few more ideas. This isn't all from us as stated above Smile What's on your list?Smile

elc have a nice range of dino toys which might be worth a look

We got baby Annabel dolls last year which were a hit, and meant relatives could buy things like clothes, a pram etc for that

I was on here looking for inspiration as DD1 has everything. So far on her ideas list I have Lego dots and a jewellery box.

Last year when she was 3 an accessorize superhero outfit went down well.

My DS (3.5 at Christmas) is getting lots of Thomas trains, dinos from schleich, Papo and Safari, a barbie Merman and barbie 'Ken' so he can join in with his older sisters games, probably some hot wheels sets he has asked for too and other Thomas themed things. And books. I haven't thought much beyond that at the moment.

My daughter is getting a yoto player and extra cards to go with it, sylvanians, Melissa and Doug food and duplo.

I know lots of kids who love the knex kits age 3+ I think there might even be a dino themed one? Theres dinosaur magic sand kits in the works.

The designafriend dolls in argos are for age 3+ and look lovely. Some are on sale, and clothing etc. As well.

Would she be interested in play kitchens or play cafe type stuff things like that?

Maybe some dress up outfits particularly if she loves frozen. I'm sure theres a gift set I cant remember where I saw it - argos, b&m or smyths? Where theres an Elsa costume and Elsa doll in it.

I always recommend them but the "my busy books" its a book with playmat and 10 figures. Usually around £6 from supermarkets/whsmith. You can get a frozen 2 or trolls 2 one at the moment. I wrap up with the dvd, my daughters get a new one each year (first year my eldest won't get one, she's 12!) The figures are solid so good for bath/messy play or just playing with.

Duplo - fairly sure there's frozen sets.

A doctors kit was a massive hit at that age. And a tea set, just a basic one from elc.

A handbag to carry around treasures.

Dressing up - favourite character costume but also a box of bits like bangles, hats, flower garlands, silly glasses.

Really random but a box of treasure - little diamonds (£1 shop wedding section) and those glass stones you have in vases/fish tank. In a little treasure box my daughter still loves hers now!

My daughters are older but I work with 2/3/4 year olds and these are all consistently popular!

Sorry saw you wanted dinosaur recommendations, elc happyland used to do a really cute set. Or Schleich do different ones so could be a collection to build up each year.

Teddy wise - build a bear are lovely for that age, we took our dds for the first time around 3 they loved the whole experience. the teddies are v cute and relatives could give her vouchers to buy some outfits/accessories. If she has a birthday before Christmas they do a bear that you only pay your age for during the birthday month (currently doing those who missed out in march/april/may/June too according to the website!) www.buildabear.co.uk/collections/count-your-candles

There's also lots of character build a bear teddies including frozen, dinosaurs, paw patrol and my little pony.

Schleich for dinosaurs

Have you considered either lottie dolls or enchantimal, my 4 year old prefers them to Barbie, though she does have a remote control barbie car which she loves.

So far I have only got dd little gifts (beanie baby cats from the 1990s off ebay as she is obsessed with my old ones, a mosaic sticker craft kit and an usbourne jigsaw book) but providing she doesn't change her mind after starting reception she wants everything sylvanian family.

I've also put some Playmobil and the plan toys vet set on her list

My Gds (just 4) adores the National Geographic children’s book about dinosaurs I got him last Christmas. Fantastic illustrations of so many I’d never heard of, all with a man figure for size comparison and just enough info, but largely pictures.
Highly recommended.
