Hi all. My DD is 7 just before Christmas and I need some help thinking about presents. All of my family and DP’s family ask me for ideas for presents too so I need to have plenty of ideas for myself and others.

I have bought her tickets to see Frozen the musical in London for January 2nd so I was going to wrap up a load of Frozen bits and bobs and give them to her for Christmas and say the big present is just a week away. However, due to COVID the show has been moved to June. I will still do the Frozen stuff but it seems like such a long time to wait for a Christmas present, especially for a 7 year old. So now I need something a bit more substantial for Christmas as well as birthday.

She likes science experiments, make up, crafting, board games and lego. She doesn’t need a bike or scooter or play with dolls.

Any advice would be brilliant. Thanks.

My daughter is just turned 8 and some things that have gone down well the last few years.
Backpack and lunchbox - hype or smiggle are ones shes liked.
A fleece blanket, hot water bottle cover.
Photo frames for her room.
Dressing up costumes or pretty dresses.
Sharpies and mindfulness colouring books.
Scrapbooking bits - book, glue dots, embellishments, and some photos from days out or with family/friends.

Beads and elastic to make Jewellery.
Figures of her favourite film/TV programme, or sylvannians, playmobil (swimming pool is a favourite!).
Lego - there's some lovely frozen sets or my daughter likes the friends range.
Harry potter anything, primark is great for that!

Ooh thanks for the suggestions. I’m going to start making some hints and see what DD says.
