Alternative to Peppa Pig toys?

My dd is 6, she plays with peppa pig toys alot, the camper van, house, talking to the figures!
This year I want to get her this type of imaginative play toys but a bit more grown up than Peppa Pig.
She doesnt like dolls and I'm not really sure of an alternative!

Dolls house? We have a lovely wooden one from Asda

nevermorelenore · 31/07/2020 07:38

Lego playsets? They come in loads of different varieties from princess castles to fire stations etc. You can get quite creative with them!

A dolls house actually sounds good. In not in UK so cant get the asda one, does anyone have any recommendations for any others, preferably wooden one.
Playmobil and lego is a good shout too

Do you have Costco? They have an enormous dolls house!

Flamingolingo · 31/07/2020 07:57

Ours have enjoyed the happy land things, and they also do a lot of imaginative play with Lego and duplo, especially duplo (even at 4 and 6 it is still a favourite).

I’ve just seen she’s 6 - does polly pocket still exist? I had a bunch of those at that age

Magicbabywaves · 31/07/2020 08:01

New Polly pockets are rubbish, they use a sticker to place the doll. I got fed up with them and bought some old ones off ebay.

I find playmobil shit too. It’s always coming apart. We have a castle and it’s never not got bits pinging off.

Slyvanian families is wonderful. I would have said happy land but at 6 id go for SF. Although my 6 year old does still play with her younger sibling’s HL.

Djecko do wooden dolls houses I think?

Cherryrainbow · 31/07/2020 08:11

Sylvanian families or barbies/Disney princess

Duchessofealing · 31/07/2020 08:11

LOLs are really good - it is plastic tat but they play with it for hours. The camper van is currently on offer for £50 I think at Amazon if you can get delivery to where you are OP - it’s definitely worth the money, I got it for I think £80 last Christmas and it is played with daily.
