Any ideas please? I have about £37 left of budget according to my xmas list app.

What is on list so far:

3 nintendo 3ds games
1 nintendo switch game
Minecraft books (1 2 and 3)
Dragon ball z figures
Minecraft dungeons figures
Flipslide

Many thanks x

My DS likes to get character socks and underwear, football socks and shorts, football cards, small ball - I try to give a different ball for a different sport each year eg baseball, book, sweets, small cars, little figures, mystery eggs, notebook and pencil. He loves his stocking and it is getting harder to wow him!

DS is 8. I always put a themed pack of pants and a pack of socks in his stocking depending on what he's in to that year. 2018 was Pokemon, 2019 Jurassic Park and this year it'll be Minecraft.
Other things I've put in DS stocking in the past coupleof years:
Uno. I put that in last year and he now loves that. We play it every bedtime. I think you can get Minecraft Uno & Top Trumps.
A water bottle.
Chocolate coins and a few other Christmas chocolates.
A t-shirt (again, based on what he's in to).
Small Lego set.

Dss had a whoopie cushion (£1) in his stocking at that age and it completely overshadowed all of the other expensive presents and is still played with 2 years later. Grin

We go for stuff that will continue to be used:

  • torch (found a 2 for 1 deal and all of us got them in our stockings)
  • book (charity shop)
  • yo-yo
  • character pants/gloves/socks
  • chocolate
  • DVD
  • stationery

No offence OP but it’s July 31st! I am hot & bothered & the last thing I’m thinking about is Christmas 🎄

Cherryrainbow · 31/07/2020 15:07

Best avoid the Christmas forum then lol

George and Primark both do a lot of branded Minecraft and Nintendo hoodies and PJs. My DS loves his Minecraft hoodie.

Maybe a board game? It'll give him something to play with on Xmas afternoon with family. Toilet Trouble, Soggy Doggy and Screwball Scamble have all gone down well with that age.
