Giving an Advent calendar as gift

I was thinking of giving an advent calendar that I had made up as a gift to my friend.

I have a fill-able advent calendar and some little items in mind. I would make the 24th gift something a bit bigger and special.
I’ve been buying some small items from local sellers recently during COVID to do my part but my friend would like these items.

Is this a good gift?

(Also: it is not plastic tat. And my friend is in her early 30s).

My DD gave me a 12 days of Christmas gift one year. Was very good. She was a student at the time so nothing was very expensive. Just things she knew I’d like. And it started on Christmas Day which is maybe better than getting your gift almost a month early.

No. As a Christmas gift. We would normally exchange gifts anyway

I would love this, whether it was given to me to start opening on1st December, or given to me on Christmas Day and to make that day number 1.

There was a similar thread last day (albeit started closer to December!) and there were mixed opinions though.

I think its a Wonderful gift and I would enjoy something like this!

Lovely idea! My birthday's on the approach to Christmas, and my sister sometimes gives me a fancy advent calendar (food, beauty etc.) as a pressie - I love it, stretches out the excitement for a whole month and makes me feel like a little kid again!

Me and my sister make a custom one for each other every year as each other's Xmas present. We love it.

I just make sure to save the best present for Xmas day
