Today we are tidying up Christmas; gifts being put away, tree coming down :( etc.
The strange Christmas gifts threads are my favourite to read as I relate so much to them. My mil always buys wacky gifts for everyone... 2018 I got tweddle dee and tweddle dum earrings (?!), my hubby got a batman cushion (that will be put in a cupaboard for sure, he also doesnt like bat man he is 30), a white fluffy rug (doesnt go with anything) a white fluffy heart wreath (!!!!!), and a book about funny cat memes, and avocado salt and pepper shaker with daft faces on them 🙄, oh and I always get clothing 4 sizes too big for me. I always say thanks and never bring it up but I did last year as I felt sad as I was gifted xxl pjs... I'm a size ten!!
Anyway, last christmas my mil bought me really nice gifts, nothing big little things that I really appreciated; candle, rose wine, chocolates, zaflora, I loved them all :)
My strangest pressie actually came from a close friend. I spent hours finding her the perfect gift and spent quite a bit on it too. When I opened my gift I got a 'Buff Brad' corkscrew. I was puzzled by this as I think it is something you would take to a girls weekend or hen night etc. I would never gift anyone that for Christmas. Also, Brad was huge, he wouldn't of fit in my drinks drawer and I also didnt want to pull him out and use him in front of company, ever. I'm quite reserved and so is she. So very puzzled why I got this. Anyway, I am taking brad along to a girlie weekend I have booked for February and he wont be coming back 😉😉
I know I should be grateful but when I receive gifts like this I often wonder how much thought actually went into it.
