What did you order and was it good?

We had shin of beef. Absolutely brilliant. Plenty leftover and warming through in the oven as I type.

Wish I’d ordered a Christmas Colin. Missed him.

Three fish roast - lovely and would order again.

Salmon Tsar fillet - melt in the mouth, very delicious.

Raspberry and prosecco pannacotta - we order this every year and love it.

Chocolate pine cones - these looked beautiful but they were too rich and big for one person so wouldn’t get these again.

Turkey crown delicious as was bread sauce, ready sliced gammon and red cabbage. Prawn and salmon mousse thingies were awful and sooo expensive for the tiny amount per person. Potato dauphinois a bit insipid but am looking forward to cauliflower cheese tomorrow.
Picky bits not so good, in fact Aldi gave M and S a run for their money.

Forgot the chocolate pine cones which looked wonderful but were quite sickly the DCs said. I loved the sherry trifle too 😄🎄

We had the chocolate pine cones with vanilla ice cream and thought they were nice!

Christmas Colin was delicious.
Raspberry and Prosecco Pannacotta was also delicious.

Best of all was a Giant packet of Percy Pigs.

Red cabbage - ok but a bit too much apple
Black Forest gateau- bit plain
Profiteroles stack- not enough chocolate on the actual balls

Prefer waitrose I'm afraid. I won't try marks again.

Just wondering whether you all cooked your Turkey crowns according to exact instructions, ie, leave in tray. I wanted more orange slices, etc, round mine so I transferred it to a larger foil tray to cook.
