2 more sleeps and I’m still not feeling festive!

I’ve got a laid back Christmas this year so I don’t know why I’m feeling miserable.

I need to go to the shops tomorrow to pick up some bits that I forgot.

I still need to tidy my kitchen and rearrange my living room which won’t be done tonight.

Anyone else not feeling festive? If not, why not?

I wasn't at all...fraught end of term, knackered, too much to do.

Got on top of things this morning, including lots of time pottering in the kitchen baking, which always restores my equilibrium.

Did a last wander into town and bought a couple of random stocking fillers, and my dsis, niece and nephews came round for a few drinks and a mince pie so I'm getting there.

Having older children (10 and 14) makes me less Christmassy because they're not as giddy with excitement.

I’m not feeling particularly festive this year so far. I’ve been a bit anxious this week and dc’s haven’t been very well, although they are better now. I’m hoping that by getting on top of the housework and making the house look a bit more presentable tomorrow that the festive mood will catch up with me!

Normal trigger for us is village Carol Service. Was held last Friday and was the most boring service ever - talk about just going through the motions, no personal input from the Vicar at all.
Have got DGD1 for a sleepover tonight but even her enthusiasm is muted. Will have to start drinking once she has gone home tomorrow in a attempt to get in the mood!
