Syllvanian Families starter

My 4 yr old DD has just asked for surprises and when I was looking at her presents I realised she didn't have much to actually play with.

I was thinking of a Sylvanian Families set, ideally one with some bits and pieces (not tiny bits as she has a 1 yr old sister and ideally not huge). I was looking at the cosy cottage. Is this the best one to get? Is there any other sets you'd recommend?

It's horrible idea. I was there. It's most collectable thing I can think about. I remember being in a Sylvanian families shop when my daughter was about 4. It NEVER ends. I suppose you could resell later on.
Anything collectable by children I deem a no-no.

Well, it is very collectable. But that's half the fun. I love it as much as my Dds do - possibly more

that sounds cute! And a good idea to get a starter so if she likes it you can add to it or if not resell. although my dds have always used the same houses for all their figures/toys. mine are currently using the rubber duck nativity set and funko pop figures in the enchantimals house. sylvanian furniture/houses are perfect for LOL dolls if you end up getting conned into those in the future 😁
